Tips and Suggestions for a Smooth Transaction
My Professional Standards of Practice dictate that I inspect those items that are visible, and that I am non-intrusive. Please check to make sure the following is done prior to the inspection.
Make Seller's Disclosure available to me.- Make sure the power is on.
- Make sure the water is on.
- Make sure that all pilot lights are lit.
- Make sure all areas to be inspected (see What My Full House Inspection Includes) are accessible and free of obstructions. These items could include hatch covers to crawl spaces, attic pull down ladders, utility systems panels and furnace areas.
